GET STARTED

From idea to first app

Give Atomic a clear starting point: who the app helps, what they need to do, and what a successful result looks like.

Before you startAtomic is preparing for early access. The examples on this website are local demonstrations using sample data; they do not generate or host an app.

Choose one useful job

Start with a task you can describe in a sentence. A booking request, a small product catalog, or a client project view gives you a focused first version. Save the larger wish list for later.

For example: “Help my clients request a design consultation without a long email exchange.” That is specific enough to test with someone who might use it.

Write a practical brief

Include the people using the app, the information they provide, and what each person should be allowed to see or change.

Build a booking app for my studio. Clients choose a service and request an available time. I review requests and confirm them. A client should only see their own booking. Start with sample services and sample clients.

Add your preferred tone and appearance after the workflow is clear. Say whether the app should feel calm, playful, minimal, or editorial, and describe any existing brand assets you want to use.

Define a test before you build

  • Can a client understand the available services?
  • Does submitting a request produce a clear confirmation?
  • Can the owner review and change a request?
  • Can one client access another client’s information?
  • What happens when a time is unavailable or a field is empty?

A useful brief includes the difficult cases as well as the happy path.

Try the workflow

Explore the interactive examples on the homepage to see the customer and owner perspectives. Then share your idea with the team to ask about access.

If your idea is close to a booking site, a CRM, a shop, a help desk, a club or a studio website, you can also start from a template and shape it from there.
